New Website

Homelessness, and the threat of homelessness, is a significant issue. The Barwon South West Homelessness Network (BSWHN) is a network of agencies in the Barwon and South West region who work collaboratively for the achievement of an integrated system providing support and accommodation to people experiencing or at risk of Homelessness across the region.

The website provides information and resources to the different stakeholders; for example, useful links for network members, referral information for those experiencing homelessness directly, background data and information for those wishing to support BSWHN or find out more about homelessness in the region.

The BSWHN website additionally aims to collect subscribers to the BSWHN bi-monthly news emails.

Website Revamp

A growing psychology practice needed a website overhaul to emphasise the key services available – beyond psychology and counselling sessions, Psych Health Australia also provide therapy support funded by NDIS, teaching and training for professional development, consultancy to courts and official bodies, and expert reports. Principal Enza Santangelo was looking for a reflection of where the business is heading and a professional image.

The Coronavirus pandemic came along during the project, which led to a slight change in direction. Government acceptance of telehealth sessions under Medicare meant that the availability of telehealth became high-profile, and this was reflected on the Home Page.

Designed to provide a quick understanding of the key areas Enza can provide experienced and expert assistance, the website aimed for easy navigation, clear information, and multiple calls to action together with a Contact form on every page.

Website Revamp

The existing website needed a design and layout lift, and also needed to switch to “secure” with an SSL certificate (increasingly required by the likes of Google). This was also an opportune time to switch to a more popular and therefore more easily supported and integrated ecommerce system.

The project entailed recreating the website with a new look, using much of the old site’s existing words and images. It was also important to retain the long-term “search-engine juice” that had been built up over the years. Switching to WooCommerce for sales processing, and adding an event calendar on top of it for selling courses, plus a significant checkout improvement, all resulted in a sleeker and faster checkout experience.

Pregnancy Massage Australia added email marketing automation into the mix, aiming to save time and trouble with the administration process associated with selling their in-person pregnancy massage courses.

Optimised Checkout

A beautiful 1-step checkout for speed and ease.

Making a customer’s checkout quick and easy reduces the friction that might lead to hesitation and consequent loss of the sale.

Adding confidence-building testimonials, icons and answers (before the question is even asked) also reduce cart abandonment.

Website Refresh

While being a reasonable website with the essentials covered, the software used to create the website had become obsolete – the website couldn’t be updated any longer. In addition, the website was looking dated having been published a few years ago. More importantly, some expected standards weren’t being met such as a secure connection between viewer and website (the “SSL certificate”).

So time for a refresh and rebuild. No radical changes to the content, but more a polishing and extension and reformat of what was there. Add new images (and make them big), put things where people would expect to see them. The drive of the revamped website is now to get potential clients to ring – because every home inspection is different (think: the age, the location, the type & size, the materials…), so Craig likes to have a discussion before providing a quote.

Comprehensive Website Overhaul

A news- and information-based website had been in place for a few years. Community development and engagement activities had been growing and the website needed to accommodate this increased need to provide more than just What’s On. In particular, the Committee of Management had identified the requirement to highlight community opportunities to shape and guide the future development of Deans Marsh.

Centred around a new Communications Strategy, the revamped website aims to centralise access to what’s happening, how to get involved, who to contact, and major projects for the town and its environs. “Community involvement” is the central theme for this forward-looking website that encourages participation.

The new website offers sections

  • explaining why the Cottage exists and what it does (and importantly, how to join in)
  • regularly-updated activities to join in with
  • describing the major Festival and Market events, and how to book a stall
  • detailing community groups eg. fire brigade, Landcare, cricket club
  • recounting the history of the area – this section in particular is open to locals for their contributions to build up collection of historical articles and photos.
